Christmas Tree Lane: A Festive Tribute by the Lancaster Stormers
Christmas Tree Lane has launched at Penn Medicine Park, the home of the Lancaster Stormers, showcasing a beautiful collection of decorated trees that aim to benefit local nonprofits. Visitors can cast their votes for their favorite tree by making a $2 donation, which directly supports the featured nonprofit. Lynn Lopez, the county program manager for Special Olympics Lancaster County, emphasized the importance of the WGAL-sponsored tree, symbolizing the dedication and effort of the athletes involved in various activities. The tree is adorned with handcrafted ornaments representing different sports, showcasing the athletes' creativity and passion. Participants shared their joy in coming together for crafts and celebrations, highlighting the community spirit fostered by the event. The initiative aims to spread happiness among athletes and their families, affirming the positive impact of such programs. Christmas Tree Lane will remain open until December 23, inviting the Lancaster community to enjoy the holiday spirit while supporting local causes.
